Long Mango Wood Salad Servers
These attractive salad servers have been hand carved from sustainable mango wood. The finish is smooth and the natural grain of the wood really shines through.

The mango wood used for these salad servers is sustainable. Mango trees are initially grown for their fruit but once the trees reach a certain size and age, they stop bearing fruit. It is then that the trees can be cut down and used to create wood products. The removal of the old trees makes space for farmers to plant new mango trees. This not only means that none of the wood is wasted but offers a supplementary income to mango wood farmers. Mango wood is a hard wood that comes in many shades from light to dark.
Care Instructions: To care for your mango wood, wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. To nourish and protect the natural wood, from time to time rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth.
