This Nirmala Lapis Lazuli Silver Coloured Bracelet from A Beautiful Story consists of seven strands. The strands are made of coloured glass beads and silver-plated brass beads, strung on elastic. They are tied together by a handmade, silver-coloured ring with a large lapis lazuli gemstone attached. The length of the bracelet is 17 centimeters.

A Beautiful Story was founded by Cathelijne Lania from the Netherlands in 2006. When she heard that a silver factory was closing down in her beloved Nepal (owned by a friend she had met whilst volunteering in Kathmandu) and inspired by her love of the country, Cathelijne quit her job working for a big multi-national and set up a collaboration with the silver factory "artisan workshops". Cathelijne worked with her friend, Nimdiki Sherpa, to set up a jewellery factory "Beads for Life" - an enterprise to empower Nepalese women . Fifty artisons from Beads for Life make the jewellery for A beautiful Story giving these talented jewellery makers the chance to be independent and to support their families. Today the company also works with a small number of producers in developing countries and is establishing new connections in Peru, Bolivia and Bangladesh.
